Q56: Can we have a clarification on whether all properties owned by Scouts and Guides should be marked as "K12" please?
A56: I am told that if they’re full-time Cadet or Scout buildings where the primary purpose is gathering of people in the K-12 age range with a membership component, it would be considered similar to a private daycare center and ineligible. However, if it’s a public gathering place that’s occasionally used for Scout or Guide meetings, then yes it would be eligible.

Q5: In the December 11th AMA, NIAOps confirmed that we should treat scout camps and installations as schools because of the target age range. This raises some questions regarding youth clubs and centres - should we be treating them as schools as well and rating 1* overall? If this is the case, is there any chance that the criteria can be updated please as there are a lot of scout huts, youth centres, etc. making their way through OPR.
A5: According to NIA OPS, “If it is only for K12 age children, it should be rated with a one star. If it is for adults and kids it can be rated based on the other criteria.” They also add, “We are updating the guide based on these questions and discussions we see in the OPR G+ Community. Post in the G+ Community if you have not already.” https://plus.google....

Q61: Hi Andrew, two questions, I've noticed there's lots of options missing under the OPR categories tab for things that are often accepted as portals in Australia, e.g. basketball courts, swimming pools, CWA halls, Scout halls etc. I was told that typing them in would register the category and Niantic regularly updates the list based on user submissions, is this true or am I wasting my time?
A61: The OPR Team said if you suggest some new ones in the OPR Google+ Community they will review them and add them https://plus.google.....

Q259: Regarding last week's AMA, can you further elaborate how Boy Scout camps are to be considered the same as primary schools in OPR? Many of these camps are open to the public, to the point where many groups rent out space throughout the year. To me, it would seem that Scout camps are closer associated with playgrounds or parks.
A259: I would have to ask for clarification fron NIA OPS. I don't have an answer for you at the moment. However, I wouldn't try to lawyer it. If they said no, I'd take it as, no, for now.

Q73: In OPR I see more and more submission of scout camp or scout installations. Personnally I would tend to consider these as school as the scouts are mostly children between 6 and 18 years but I would like to know your and Niantic's point of view
A73: We agree.

Q6: The Ingress story has several notable official NPCs. Would you mind sharing a bit of background-knowledge of how this process works? Did they audition or were they specifically "scouted" (or their agency contacted) or did they rise to the official side of the story through their effort (Kodamasmiles?)? Are they merely actors (playing a role without any creative freedom) or do they have a certain level of creative freedom to perform within the predetermined boundaries of their story persona?
A6: We have actors? Next you'll tell me that you think this is all a mobile game.
